About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Pastry Chef de Partie to join our vibrant culinary team at Saya. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry arts, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating exceptional desserts and baked goods that elevate the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to menu specifications.
• Ensure all pastry items are consistently prepared and meet established quality standards.
• Assist the Pastry Sous Chef and Head Pastry Chef in developing new dessert recipes and creative presentations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section at all times.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients and finished products.
• Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and report shortages promptly.
• Train and guide Commis or junior pastry staff when required.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or in a similar role (1–3 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (Arabic-speaking candidates preferred).
• Culinary diploma or certification in pastry arts is an advantage.
