Pastry Chef (Zagre, Croatia)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake breads, cakes, pastries, tarts, and other desserts
  • Decorate desserts with precision and creativity
  • Create chocolate, sugar, and other confections
  • Follow recipes and portion control for consistency
  • Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen
  • Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal menu items
  • Supervise junior pastry staff or assistants

Skills and Qualifications

  • Expertise in baking and pastry techniques
  • Knowledge of dessert presentation and decoration
  • Understanding of ingredients, measurements, and food chemistry
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in busy kitchen environments
  • Food hygiene and safety knowledge (HACCP or local certification)

Work Environment

  • Restaurants, hotels, bakeries, patisseries, catering companies
  • Indoor kitchen environments, often standing long hours
  • May involve early mornings or shift work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: KD320.000 - KD420.000 per month

  • Baking and Pastry: 1 year (Required)
