Pastry Cook 2

Overview:
The Pastry Cook 2 will prepare hot and cold food items while ensuring consistency and quality production. This role supports kitchen operations by ensuring all food is prepared and served according to established specifications. The Pastry Cook 2 works within resort restaurant outlets and contributes to an efficient and well-coordinated kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for preparing all hot and cold food items in accordance with established standards.
  • Effectively execute all assigned kitchen duties during food production and service.
  • Coordinate all aspects of food preparation within the assigned station.
  • Assist the Executive Chef in the overall operation of the kitchen.
  • Responsible for adhering to all health department guidelines and kitchen sanitation standards.
  • Responsible for adhering to all safe food handling procedures at all times.
  • Must ensure assigned station is set for service at least 15 minutes prior to service.
  • Must learn all menu items produced by the assigned station.
  • Perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within necessary time frames.
  • Responsible for refrigeration, storage, and proper handling of food items, including cold food preparation.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Previous culinary experience required; minimum of 3 years in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred.
  • Must have basic to intermediate knife skills.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, including the duration of a full shift.
  • Must be able to walk, push, pull, stoop, bend, and lift items of moderate weight.
