Pathology Medical Laboratory Assistant

• Lead the diagnostic process by expertly identifying and processing medical specimens, ensuring the lab team receives high-quality samples for timely and accurate patient results.
• Create a foundation of safety by maintaining a meticulously organized and sterile work environment, upholding the highest standards of infection control for our team and patients.
• Support seamless clinical operations by managing vital supplies and equipment, ensuring the laboratory is always prepared to handle critical testing without interruption.
• Document the patient journey through precise data entry and record-keeping, serving as a guardian of the information that informs life-changing medical decisions.
• Facilitate clear communication within the healthcare team by managing phone inquiries and administrative needs, helping vital information flow quickly to the providers who need it most.

• Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC). Preferred.
• Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT). Preferred.

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
