Patient Account Representative

The Patient Account Representative is responsible for collection of accounts receivable due to OrthoGeorgia from patient balances as well as assisting with collection of insurance balances. Maintains assigned insurance accounts. Contacts patients and makes payment arrangements. Collects patient due accounts receivable, ensures payment schedules are met and refers to collection agency if necessary. Monitors insurances claims and completes all necessary steps to process claims. This individual will contribute to the morale and success of the office by service, teamwork, integrity, professionalism, compassion, respect, improvement and innovation of operations and a balance and commitment to work and family. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; Minimum 3 years of medical office experience and 1 year medical collection experience is preferred. Qualified candidates will have basic knowledge of math and accounting; Medical billing coding including CPT & ICD10; Medical account receivable collection procedures, insurance correspondence and medical terminology.

Any offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as an applicant's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations.
