for individuals who have sustained serious, life-altering injuries and require ongoing clinical and behavioral support.

Position Summary
The
Patient Care Assistant (PCA)
provides hands-on care, supervision, and rehabilitation support to
adult patients
recovering from neurological injuries or living with long-term care needs. Working under the supervision of licensed nurses and rehabilitation professionals, the PCA helps patients with daily routines, therapeutic activities, and behavioral support in a compassionate, structured environment designed to promote recovery and independence.
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, transfers, and grooming.

Observe, monitor, and accurately document patient behavior, participation, and vital signs.

Support therapeutic, rehabilitative, and recreational programming to encourage patient engagement and progress.

Assist in implementing individualized care and behavioral support plans under clinical supervision.

Maintain a safe, organized, and therapeutic environment, ensuring adherence to patient care protocols and safety procedures.

Respond to crises or behavioral escalations using approved de-escalation and intervention techniques to maintain safety.

Collaborate with nurses, therapists, case managers, and rehabilitation specialists to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
Licensure & Certifications

De-escalation Training – required within 30 days of hire

CPR / BLS Certification – required
