Patient Care Coordinator

Duties

• Greet patients warmly and assist them with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using medical office software
• Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accurate records and billing processes
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-visit instructions, test results, and follow-up care plans
• Maintain organized patient records, update medical histories, and document interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, dental professionals, and support staff to facilitate seamless patient flow and care delivery
• Answer phone calls promptly, address patient inquiries, and provide clear information about procedures or appointments
• Support medical administrative tasks such as managing referrals, processing paperwork, and handling billing inquiries

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical notes and communicate effectively with healthcare providers
• Proven ability to provide excellent medical administrative support in a fast-paced setting
• Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and proficiency with office software applications
• Familiarity with dental office procedures is a plus but not required
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
