Responsibilities:
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls with a smile!
- Ability to handle a large volume of calls for a busy OB/GYN practice.
- Create a warm first impression!
- Schedule new & current patient appointments, including, New OB Intake, OB appointments, Annual & problem GYN, LAB, Ultrasound, Hormone replacement appointments and more.
- Direct patients to the appropriate person and office.
- Ability to assist patients with directions, appointment confirmations and send messages to provider staff for assistance.
- Provide basic and accurate information in person and via phone/email.
- Verify insurance, Receive payments.
- Ability to work alone, with little supervision.
- PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH ATHENA A PLUS.
Skills:
- Exceptional Customer Service Skills accompanied by a desire to implement them is a MUST.
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Computer experience in a medical office & Athena is a plus.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
High School Diploma/GED
1-2 year prior Experience
