energetic, highly personable, and customer-service–driven Position Care Coordinator (PCC)
to join a collaborative and growing medical team in Walnut Creek. This role starts as
part-time
with a clear pathway to
full-time hours as clinic volume increases in July

About the Role
The
Position Care Coordinator (PCC)
plays a key role in supporting physicians and the clinical team. Each physician is supported by both a
Medical Assistant (MA)
and a
PCC
, working together to ensure patients receive exceptional care and communication.
This role is
administratively focused
, but flexibility is essential. The PCC should also be
comfortable stepping in to assist Medical Assistants with back-office duties
, including
rooming patients, charting, and supporting procedures as needed
.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a key administrative support partner to the physician and medical assistant

Coordinate communication between
patients, physicians, hospitals, and external providers
-
Handle
prior authorizations and urgent/stat requests
first thing each morning
-
Monitor and respond to physician communications via internal messaging and texting platforms
-
Manage scheduling requests from outside physicians and providers
-
Reach out to patients for follow-up coordination and scheduling
-
Track and manage tasks using internal task management applications
-
Maintain detailed notes and documentation to ensure seamless coordination
-
Compose professional emails
to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, vendors, and patients

Assist with clinic workflow and support MA team members when needed, including
rooming, charting, and procedural support

Utilize
electronic medical records (EMRs) and other clinic technologies
efficiently to support daily operations

Familiarity with
electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technologies

Prior authorization experience preferred

Medical office or healthcare front-office experience strongly preferred
Licenses or certifications are not required for this role; however, any relevant healthcare certifications or credentials are considered a plus.
Schedule
Part-Time:

3 days per week

8:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Future Opportunity:

Position is expected to transition to
full-time in July
as the clinic continues to grow.
Compensation & Benefits
