Patient Care Tech I – PCT – Prep / PACU

Full time - Evening shift - 40 hours

The Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Zayed 3 Preoperative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (Prep/PACU) is a 43-bed unit that provides services to patients undergoing surgery and interventional radiology procedures such as cervical decompression fixation/fusion, open reduction internal fixation, microvascular decompression, kidney transplant, craniectomy, cerebral arteriogram, Intercranial embolization, and trans arterial chemoembolization. Our unit supports the care provided in 14 operating rooms, 8 interventional radiology rooms, and 2 CT rooms. Our team is comprised of autonomous, highly engaged, and expert professionals who are dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care and the ultimate experience to our patients!

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
• One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV placement are essential skills that are required for this position.
• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.

Salary Range: Minimum 18.41/hour - Maximum 27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
