Patient Care Tech Med Surg

Location: Boonville, IN
Facility: Ascension St. Vincent
Department/Speciality: Med Surg Swing
Schedule: PRN, Rotating shifts
How you'll make an impact in this role:
  • Support Patient Mobility and Comfort: Assist with the safe movement and positioning of patients to prevent complications and promote physical recovery.
  • Champion Dignity Through Personal Care: Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities, ensuring every patient feels respected and cared for during their stay.
  • Act as a Vital Clinical Link: Monitor and communicate real-time changes in a patient’s physical or emotional state to the nursing team, serving as an essential "second set of eyes" for patient safety.
  • Document the Care Journey: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient observations to ensure the entire medical team has a clear, up-to-date picture of the patient’s progress.
  • Create a Healing Environment: Manage the cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and medical equipment to ensure a sterile, orderly, and stress-free space for recovery.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
What additional requirements you'll need:
Prior patient care experience preferred.
