Patient Care Tech Telemetry Observation

• Provide essential clinical and non-clinical support, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal hygiene, under the supervision of nursing staff.
• Monitor and promptly report any changes in a patient’s physical, mental, or emotional status, including vital signs—to the registered nurse.
• While performing routine maintenance and checks on essential medical equipment including telemetry monitors, ensure patient rooms remain clean and organized.
• Safely facilitate patient movement and positioning while ensuring telemetry leads and electrodes remain properly placed for uninterrupted cardiac monitoring.
• Assist nursing staff with 12-lead EKGs and phlebotomy.
• Maintain rigorous records of patient intake, output, daily weights, and daily activities, ensuring all data is accurately captured in the telemetry unit’s electronic or downtime medical record

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
