Patient Care Technician

Excellent opportunity for students who finished undergraduate education and are taking a gap year to gain clinical hours to apply to Medical /PA school.

Qualifications:

High school degree or associates degree required. Experience in healthcare is preferred but not a requirement.

The Patient Care Technician will assist Providers; MDs, DOs, PAs, rad techs/MAs, and administrative staff in the examination, treatment, and perform tasks necessary to complete patient care following Wellcare Urgent Care’s standards and practices as directed by the Medical Director of Wellcare Urgent Care.

Performs other clerical and administrative tasks as required.

Responsibilities:

Patient registration/EMR

Collecting urine specimens and preparing for LAB send-outs

In office testing including FLU, strep and pregnancy testing

Prepare for suturing

Sterilization, etc

Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A FULL TIME POSITION AND INTERESTED APPLICANTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO WORK 36-40 HOURS THROUGH THE YEAR.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed
