Patient Care Technician

Summary:

Provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.

Required Certification: Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.

Minimum Qualifications: You may qualify for the position through one of the following ways:

· 6 months acute care experience as a patient caregiver

· 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience as a patient caregiver

· Completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an RN or LPN program

· Completion of a Baycare approved Nurse Assistant/PCT program-that includes a program with a minimum of 40 hours hands-on patient care experience outside of a lab setting

· EMT certification and/or paramedic license

Education : Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; may also qualify with a Certificate of Completion

Shift Hours: 1:00p - 9:30p

Shift: Shift 2

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies
