Patient Care Technician – Emergency Department | Contract (Full-Time)

Location: New York 14427
Pay: $736 – $840/week

Schedule:

• Full-Time (3x12s) – 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM

• Every other weekend required

• Holidays required

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care and support in the Emergency Department under RN supervision

• Perform vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, patient transport, hygiene care, and assist with procedures

• Monitor and report patient condition changes

• Enter and manage patient data and orders accurately (Meditech)

• Maintain supplies, equipment, and a clean, organized unit

• Support patient flow, communication, and a safe care environment

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)

• BLS Certification (AHA or RQI only)

• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience (PCT or similar role)

• Computer literacy required (Meditech and Microsoft Office preferred)

• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Emergency Department setting

• Phlebotomy and EKG experience

• Medical Terminology knowledge

• CPI certification (within 30 days of hire)
