Job Requirements
- Provide direct care and support to patients, assisting with daily living activities
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
- Assist nursing staff by preparing patients for examinations and procedures
- Help with patient mobility and transportation within the facility
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
- Report any changes in patient condition or concerns to the healthcare team promptly
- Perform clinical tasks such as collecting specimens and performing EKGs as required
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with facility policies
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times
Work Experience
- Certification as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) required
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare training preferred
- One year of PCT experience in a hospital setting, experience with newborns preferred.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or assisting patients
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a healthcare team
