Patient Care Technician II

• Provide direct care and support to patients, assisting with daily living activities
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
• Assist nursing staff by preparing patients for examinations and procedures
• Help with patient mobility and transportation within the facility
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
• Report any changes in patient condition or concerns to the healthcare team promptly
• Perform clinical tasks such as collecting specimens and performing EKGs as required
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with facility policies
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times

• Certification as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) required
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare training preferred
• One year of PCT experience in a hospital setting, experience with newborns preferred.

Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or assisting patients
• Basic computer skills for documentation purposes
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a healthcare team
