Patient Collections Specialist

Physician office is seeking an experienced Patient Collection Specialist

The Patient Collection Specialist is responsible for reviewing, managing and follow up on all patient collection accounts. A strong knowledge of scheduling, insurance, CPT and ICD-10 codes is required. Must be familiar with contracts, payer and collection guidelines. This person must be comfortable with calling other health care provider offices, insurance companies and patients. The ideal candidate will be organized and able to work on a timeline, promote a team-orientated atmosphere and takes initiative.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 2 years of medical billing and scheduling in a physician office setting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Software/Computer Programs: Proficient with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (preferably eClinical Works).
• Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Competitive salary based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
