Patient Coordinator

In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth scheduling, accurate documentation, and efficient communication between patients and medical staff. Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and verify their appointment details, ensuring all necessary information is accurately recorded in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments while managing the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
  • Collect and update medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and maintaining organized documentation.
  • Assist with dental billing processes by coding procedures using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology)to ensure accurate insurance claims submission.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance providers for pre-authorizations and claim follow-ups related to medical billing and collections.
  • Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts, verifying insurance coverage, and managing appointment flow to reduce wait times.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, coding procedures, and office workflows to facilitate seamless operations.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of dental billing practices including CPT coding is a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical records management is essential for success in this role.
  • Excellent communication skills combined with a detail-oriented mindset will help ensure accuracy in documentation and patient interactions. Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
