Patient Driver - Clinical Research PRN (Weekends)

Job Summary:

With moderate supervision the Driver I is responsible for transporting clients to and from clinic appointments and outings in a timely manner.

Schedule: PRN/Per Diem Role: The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work weekends as needed

Compensation: $19.00 -20.00/hr (Depending on education, experience, and skillset)

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Safely and efficiently operates a passenger van.
• Responsible for the timely pickups, drop offs and appointments/errands, of transporting clients.
• Ensures interior of vehicle neat and orderly.
• Ensures vehicle is adequately maintained and fueled and monitors vehicle condition.
• Maintains courteous, friendly and professional demeanor.
• Assists passengers in boarding and exiting vehicle if needed.
• Provides a safe and comfortable environment for study participants.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Runs errands, shops for supplies, groceries and delivers meals, depending on location.
• Supports and ensures strictest adherence to best practices, FDA Code of Federal Regulations, ICH (International Conference on Harmonization), GCP (Good Clinical Practices), CenExel standard operating procedures, site working Practices, protocol, and company guidelines and policies.
• Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all inclusive.

Education/Experience/Skills:

• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be at least 25 years old per insurance requirement.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 to 2 years passenger driving experience.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
