PATIENT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (PSR)
Position Summary:
The PSR is responsible for a variety of activities related to patient registration and care. The primary function of the PSR is to handle new and current patients arriving at Camillus Health. Responsibilities include but are not limited to responding to new and existing patient inquiries, handling patient concerns, rescheduling requests while meeting performance metrics and quality service goals in a team atmosphere.
Responsibilities:

Utilize the Patient Services Customer Service Standards during all interactions with patients, visitors, volunteers, students, and co-workers

Facilitate patient registration and maintain the confidentiality of patients

Conduct financial assessments, collect, and record patient fees.

Maintain relevant statistics/logs
-
Perform billing for assigned providers. Ensure that billing is current and accurate to meet the policy guidelines for posting.

Task providers on unresolved encounters, pending charges.

Communicate with CH program managers on appointment schedules including no-shows and broken appointments.

Call to confirm calls

Run meaningful use reports to ensure that Objective 8 and 9 is within compliance.

Clerical duties such as scanning documents to Patient’s chart.

Implement Medicaid and other manage care activities, including Medicaid (insurance) verification, eligibility screening and enrollment, also disenrollment procedures

Provide information on services available at Camillus and in the community

Schedule new and follow-up patient appointments as needed.

Perform any other department or agency related duties or special projects as directed by Supervisor.
Requirements:

Associates Degree, Bachelor’ preferred
-
Equivalent work experience in customer service will be considered

Bilingual (English/Spanish), Creole a plus

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Primary Site: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
