Responsibilities:

Coordinate Transfers: Schedule and manage patient transport, ensuring proper medical support and working with EMS, ambulette services, and payors for authorization.

Prioritize & Monitor: Triage requests by urgency and monitor hospital bed capacity to ensure timely, safe transfers.

Ensure Safety & Comfort: Maintain clear communication, verify medical needs are met, and support transport staff during operations.

Documentation & Reporting: Record all transport details, update patient charts, and escalate delays or issues as needed.

Compliance & Quality: Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and confidentiality; participate in audits and training.

Collaboration: Coordinate with departments across the hospital and communicate special patient needs to transport teams.

Problem Solving: Resolve transport-related issues quickly to minimize care disruptions and maintain smooth operations.
Requirements:

High school diploma required (Associate’s degree in healthcare preferred)

Experience in EMS, dispatch, healthcare logistics, or patient care in fast-paced settings preferred

Strong organizational, multitasking, and computer skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Posted Salary Range: USD $20.00 - USD $29.77 /Hr. :
