Patient Transporter

Job Summary

In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting clients from their home to our day center. Your proactive approach and compassionate attitude will help facilitate smooth client care and uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Duties

• Safely transfer patients from their home to the day center and home again.
• Assist clients with daily program functions. Such as breakfast, lunch and activities. ( serve them food and play pool with clients for example)
• Maintain clear communication with administration and co- staff to coordinate client movements and relay important information.
• Ensure all transport activities comply with safety protocols and company standards.
• Keep accurate records of patient transfers, including time stamps and any special instructions or observations.
• Support client care by providing basic assistance during transport, such as helping patients into the vehicle or using a lift when needed.

Requirements

• Prior experience in home & community care or hospital settings is highly desirable.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR to respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care with a focus on safety and dignity.
• Strong physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and maneuver equipment for extended periods.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with administration and assist clients effectively.

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
