Situated on a peaceful, wooded 26-acre campus, Nexus Neurorecovery Center – Conroe offers the Rise Program, a comprehensive neurological rehabilitation program for adults recovering from severe traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, spinal cord injury, and other neurological diagnoses.
This campus is also home to the Life Care Program, which provides long-term residential care for individuals who have sustained serious, life-altering injuries and require ongoing clinical and behavioral support.

The Patient Transporter is responsible for safely assisting and transporting adult patients throughout the campus for therapy, medical appointments, and daily activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining patient safety, comfort, and dignity while supporting the interdisciplinary care team.

Safely transport patients to and from therapy sessions, medical appointments, and activities across the campus

Assist patients with mobility, including wheelchair transport and ambulation support

Ensure proper use of transfer equipment and follow all safety protocols

Communicate effectively with nursing and therapy teams regarding patient needs and schedules

Monitor patients during transport and report any concerns or changes in condition

Maintain cleanliness and readiness of transport equipment

Support a positive, respectful, and therapeutic environment for all patients

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience in healthcare, patient transport, or direct patient care preferred

Ability to safely assist with lifting, transferring, and mobility support

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

CPR/BLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)

CPI or de-escalation training (required within 30 days of hire)
