Patient Transporter

Job Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Patient Transporter, where your energy and compassion will make a real difference in patient care. The Patient Transporter plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day flow of our clinic and surgery center by safely assisting patients as they move between different areas of care. This position works closely with both clinical and front office teams to ensure patients are transported in a timely, respectful, and compassionate manner. By helping patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit, the Transporter contributes to a positive patient experience while keeping operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

· Safely transport patients throughout the clinic and surgery center, including to and from exam rooms, procedure areas, imaging, and discharge locations

· Assist patients with mobility needs using wheelchairs, stretchers, or other transport equipment while prioritizing safety and comfort

· Provide a courteous, respectful, and supportive experience for patients during all interactions

· Communicate effectively with clinical staff, front office teams, and providers to coordinate timely patient movement

· Follow all safety protocols, including proper patient identification and fall prevention procedures

· Assist with transferring patients on and off beds, procedure tables, and transport equipment as needed

· Maintain cleanliness and readiness of transport equipment (wheelchairs, stretchers, etc.)

· Support overall clinic flow by responding promptly to transport requests and helping reduce delays

· Transport medical items, equipment, or supplies between departments as needed

· Observe and report any patient concerns, discomfort, or changes to appropriate clinical staff

· Adhere to all organizational policies, including patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

· Previous experience in a healthcare setting (clinic, hospital, or surgery center)

· Experience in patient transport, caregiving, or a customer service–focused role

Compensation and Benefits

· Wage range: Per Hour/Salary

· Position is eligible for employer-sponsored health benefits

· Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am–5pm

Employment Status:

· Full-time, 40 hours per week, non-exempt position.

· Oregon is an at-will employer state and reserves the right to terminate employment at will.
