Job Summary and Qualifications

OurTransporters assist with the movement of patients, equipment, supplies in and around the hospital. In this patient-care support role, colleagues have important contact with patients, visitor and clinical staff every day. Join our team where your commitment to service, safety and professionalism will contribute to a positive patient experience.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• You will safely lift patients on and off beds and transport them safely to and from special service and treatment areas using wheelchairs or moveable beds.
• You will comfort patients and their families by offering support and encouragement.
• You will deliver equipment and supplies to assigned treatment areas and patient care areas.
• You will pick up and deliver laboratory specimens.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Saving (BLS) Required with 90 days of hire.

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Children’s healthcare services. We offer the region’s only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU.
