Description
Summary:
To provide basic patient care to specified patients under the direction of a licensed nurse and in conformance with hospital policy and procedure.
Responsibilities:
- Organize, prioritize, and utilize time to maximize productivity.

Demonstrates knowledge and provides care for the orthopedic patient.

Observe and report unusual changes in patient conditions.

Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.

Assumes responsibility for maintaining own educational requirements and professional development.

Practices safety measures and communicates risk management issues to the appropriate individual.

Utilizes effective communication skills.

Practices effective cost containment measures.

Responsible and accountable for professional conduct.
Requirements:
- High School Graduate (or equivalent).

A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience preferred.

BLS required.
-
CPR.

Computer literacy is desired.

Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others.

Ability to comply with all GSMC policies and procedures that are job-related and consistent with business necessity.

Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide competent care as appropriate to the ages of the patients served by this position.
