Pattern Maker

We are looking for an experienced Pattern Master who can handle the full cycle of pattern development from creating patterns, cutting, and stitching samples until final client approval.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate patterns manually and/or using CAD software for a variety of garments.
• Handle pattern cutting, sample stitching, and finishing until the client approves.
• Check measurements, grading, and fitting for different sizes.
• Adjust and modify patterns based on designer sketches, technical packs, or client feedback.
• Ensure patterns are optimized for fabric consumption and production efficiency.
• Prepare sewing instructions and technical notes for production teams.
• Work closely with designers, merchandisers, and production staff to maintain design intent.
• Conduct trial fittings and make corrections to achieve the perfect fit and style.
• Maintain a library of approved patterns for future reference.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship according to luxury garment standards.
• Provide technical input to improve garment construction and resolve production challenges.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Pattern Master / Pattern Maker in garments or luxury fashion.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and finishing methods.
• Expertise in customized dressmaking, including evening wear, gowns, and complex designs.
• Excellent skills in cutting, draping, and fitting to achieve perfect silhouettes.
• Ability to make quick adjustments based on designer/client feedback.
• Knowledge of different fabrics, shrinkage, drape, and stretch behaviour.
• Strong understanding of grading for multiple sizes.
• Attention to detail with a high sense of precision and quality.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
