Pattern Maker/Cutter Master ( Female Tailoring)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pattern Master / Cutter Master to join our production team. This role is crucial to the garment creation process and requires a deep understanding of pattern making, fabric behavior, and precision cutting techniques. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both manual and digital pattern drafting and have extensive experience cutting a variety of fabrics to meet design and production specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Pattern Drafting & Development

• Draft and develop accurate garment patterns based on design sketches or specifications.
• Adjust and grade patterns across various sizes while maintaining fit and proportion.
• Modify patterns for new designs, alterations, or customer-specific requirements.

Cutting

• Lay out patterns efficiently to minimize fabric waste and ensure consistency.
• Cut fabrics with precision according to pattern specifications using manual or electric cutting tools.
• Work closely with tailors or production staff to ensure pieces are labeled and prepared for assembly.

Measurements & Fit

• Take and interpret detailed body or sample measurements for proper pattern development.
• Make adjustments for fit based on fittings or client feedback.

Collaboration

• Work closely with designers, tailors, and production managers to ensure seamless workflow.
• Provide technical insight into pattern construction and fabric behavior.

Quality Control

• Ensure accuracy in all patterns and cuts to maintain garment quality and production standards.
• Inspect finished patterns and cut fabric pieces to identify and correct any discrepancies.

Maintenance & Documentation

• Maintain a clean and organized pattern library.
• Keep accurate records of patterns, sizes, and changes for future reference.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pattern Master or Fabric Cutter in the garment industry.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, draping, and fabric behavior.
• Exceptional precision and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with a variety of fabrics including stretch, woven, delicate, or specialty materials.
• Good mathematical and spatial awareness.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability under tight deadlines.
