PAUT Inspector

To perform, evaluate, and report Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) on welded joints and critical components during offshore construction and installation activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements , while strictly adhering to offshore HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities 1. PAUT Inspection Activities

• Perform PAUT inspections on:
• Offshore piping welds (CS / SS / CRA)
• Structural welds and nodes
• Pressure vessels and pipelines (as applicable)
• Ensure inspections are carried out in accordance with:
• Approved PAUT procedures
• Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Offshore work packs

2. Equipment Setup & Calibration

• Set up and calibrate PAUT equipment including:
• Phased array probes and wedges
• Encoders and scanners (manual / semi?automated)
• Conduct calibration using:
• Approved reference blocks
• Project?specific calibration standards
• Ensure all NDT equipment has valid calibration certificates

3. Data Acquisition & Interpretation

• Perform data acquisition and analysis using PAUT software
• Interpret A?Scan, B?Scan, C?Scan and S?Scan data
• Detect, evaluate, and size discontinuities such as:
• Lack of fusion
• Lack of penetration
• Cracks
• Porosity and inclusions

4. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare accurate and timely:
• PAUT reports
• Scan plans and data files
• Repair and re?inspection reports
• Ensure full traceability of welds and inspection records
• Support mechanical completion, pre?commissioning, and dossier handover
