Paver Machine Operator

Job Summary

The Paver Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining asphalt or concrete paver machines to lay road surfaces, pavements, and other construction works as per project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt or concrete paver machines efficiently and safely.
• Ensure correct level, alignment, thickness, and smoothness of paved surfaces.
• Coordinate with screed operators, roller operators, and site crew for smooth paving operations.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments during operation.
• Perform daily inspection, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of the paver machine.
• Follow project drawings, specifications, and supervisor instructions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and site procedures.
• Maintain proper communication with batching plant and transport team to ensure continuous material supply.
• Report mechanical issues, breakdowns, or safety concerns immediately.
• Maintain records of work completed and machine usage, if required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum education: Basic schooling or equivalent
• Valid operator license/certification (if required by local authority)
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Paver Machine Operator
• Experience in road construction, highways, or infrastructure projects preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work long hours in outdoor and hot environments
• Physically fit to operate machinery and perform site activities

Working Conditions

• Construction site environment
• Exposure to dust, noise, and weather conditions
• Shift-based or extended working hours as per project needs
