Paver / Paving Laborer

Overview

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Paver / Paving Laborer to join our construction crew. This role is hands‑on and essential to producing high‑quality asphalt, concrete, and hardscape surfaces. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare job sites by cleaning, grading, and setting forms for paving work
• Assist with the installation of asphalt, concrete, pavers, and other hardscape materials
• Operate hand tools and small equipment such as rakes, shovels, compactors, and plate tampers
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Follow directions from the crew leader or foreman to ensure projects meet quality standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the job site
• Assist with layout, measuring, and leveling surfaces
• Perform routine maintenance checks on tools and equipment
• Support the crew in all phases of paving, including demolition, base prep, installation, and finishing
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

• Previous experience in paving, concrete, landscaping, or general construction preferred but not required
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting 50+ lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus

Work Environment

• Outdoor job sites (residential, commercial, and municipal)
• Fast‑paced, physically active work
• Seasonal overtime may be required depending on project load

Pay: $160.00 - $190.00 per day
