Job Summary

First Gas is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join its finance team in Egypt. The role is responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, timely payments, and compliance with company policies and local accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the full accounts payable cycle (invoice receipt, verification, posting, and payment)
• Review supplier invoices to ensure accuracy, approvals, and proper documentation
• Process vendor payments in accordance with agreed payment terms
• Prepare and reconcile accounts payable balances and vendor statements
• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams to resolve invoice discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax, etc.)
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP
• Maintain organized records and supporting documents for audits

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4–5 years of proven experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting
• Strong knowledge of AP processes and local tax regulations in Egypt
• Experience using ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good communication and coordination skills
