PAYMENTS RISK ANALYST

POSITION SUMMARY

The position is responsible for acting as an expert in monitoring and analyzing trends in payments and Fintech. The position will research, develop insights, and provide strategic recommendations to support the bank’s objectives. The role also involves building and maintaining comprehensive industry expertise and product knowledge, as well as supporting the effective execution of business processes, procedures, and initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with the business lines to acquire, expand, and retain business customers who have electronic payment needs.
• Responsible for promoting risk awareness across the department.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of regulatory changes, reporting standards, department reporting requirements, and bank system changes/enhancements.
• Operate as a point of contact for the department by responding to internal inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and analyze emerging trends, innovations, and risk management practices in the payments and Fintech industries
• Support the development and execution of strategies related to payments, digital banking, and Fintech partnerships.
• Provide documentation for audits/exams as needed.
• Contribute to business planning and decision making by providing data driven insights and expert guidance.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school degree or GED required
• College degree in business related field beneficial
• AAP or APRP certification required
• Experience with Fiserv Premier and Fiserv PEP+ Software preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services, payments, Fintech, or related industries
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex data and industry information
• Superior skill set in the use of Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports and presenting findings to leadership

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary range DOQ: $43,353 - $61,933 - $80,513
