Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to support payroll operations for both hourly and salaried employees. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate payroll processing, maintain data integrity, and assist with payroll-related reporting and audits.

Schedule & Work Hours

  • Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Schedule: 4 days per week (4x10-hour shifts)
  • No weekends or on-call requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees
  • Assist with entry and processing of wage garnishments
  • Prepare and process payroll transfer reports
  • Ensure accurate benefit deductions and payroll adjustments
  • Conduct audits to verify payroll accuracy and data integrity
  • Maintain payroll records and documentation
  • Support leadership with accounting and payroll-related projects
  • Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of payroll or related experience
  • Basic understanding of payroll processes and compliance
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with payroll systems or HRIS platforms
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and tax withholdings
  • Prior experience in a corporate or public sector environment
