Your work profile

In our BPS Tax team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. Your role will include:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Compliance Outsourcing Services team as an Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end service delivery to clients, establishing and streamlining operational processes, managing a compliance delivery team, liaising with regulatory and legislative authorities, and ensuring seamless coordination across diverse geographic locations in India. The role requires strong technical knowledge of compliance tools and regulations, leadership capabilities, and the flexibility to travel PAN India as per business requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll banking activities across multiple countries.
  • Prepare, validate, and upload payroll banking text files to designated banking portals within defined cut-off timelines.
  • Perform SAP payroll file conversions (e.g., DME, payment medium workbench) and ensure accuracy before submission to banks.
  • Coordinate with banks and internal payroll teams for payment confirmations, rejections, or discrepancies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to banking uploads, rejected files, or file format errors.
  • Maintain compliance with country-specific banking regulations, payroll policies, and audit requirements.
  • Ensure proper record-keeping and documentation for all payroll payment activities.

Collaborate with payroll operations, IT, and banking partners to streamline and automate payment processes.

Desired qualifications

  • 2 – 10 years of experience in payroll banking processes
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of payroll banking processes, including payment file structures and text file uploads.
  • Experience with payroll (preferably SAP ECC / ADP / Celergo) and file conversion tools (HSBC convertors, rate convertors, etc.)
  • Familiarity with bank communication platforms and secure file transfer methods.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to work under strict timelines.
  • Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
  • Prior experience in payroll operations or finance with exposure to APAC/EMEA banking is a plus.

Location and way of working.

  • Base location: Bangalore
  • This profile involves frequent travelling to client locations.
