Payroll Clerk/Admin Asst to Payroll Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in South Beloit, Illinois. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in supporting payroll operations and ensuring the accuracy and organization of payroll-related tasks. The role requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.

Responsibilities:
• Process and organize physical mail, ensuring payroll-related items are identified and forwarded appropriately.
• Scan and upload tax business notices into the payroll system.
• Manage garnishments by organizing and forwarding them to the correct personnel.
• Update and correct employee information in the payroll system to maintain accuracy.
• Assist with payroll reporting and other related tasks as needed.
• Collaborate closely with the Payroll Analyst, including weekly check-ins to align on ongoing tasks.
• Utilize Workday software to support payroll and administrative functions.
• Provide administrative assistance to ensure smooth execution of payroll operations.
• Experience with payroll processes, including full-cycle payroll.
• Knowledge of handling payroll for organizations with 101-500 employees.
• Familiarity with garnishments and their processing.
• Proficiency in using payroll software, particularly Workday.
• Strong organizational skills for managing mail and payroll-related documents.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Previous administrative assistance experience, especially in payroll-related tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
