  • Position SummaryJacinto Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR, Payroll & Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team full-time. This multi-functional role is integral to the smooth operation of our business office and supports the facility's workforce through accurate payroll processing, human resources administration, and accounts payable management.   • Manage full-cycle onboarding including offer letters, new hire orientation, I-9 verification, and benefits enrollment.

Payroll

  • Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time using the facility's timekeeping and payroll system.
  • Review and reconcile timecards; address discrepancies with department supervisors prior to payroll processing.
  • Ensure proper coding of pay types including regular, overtime, PTO, and differentials.
  • Maintain payroll records and support year-end W-2 preparation and reconciliation.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and Texas wage and hour laws.

Accounts Payable

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner; match invoices to purchase orders and obtain appropriate approvals.
  • Maintain vendor files and ensure W-9 documentation is current for all applicable vendors.
  • Reconcile monthly vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare check runs and/or initiate electronic payments in accordance with the facility's payment schedule.
  • Assist with month-end close activities including AP accruals and expense reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and records.
  • Monitor facility expenditures and flag any unusual or unapproved activity.

QualificationsRequired:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a combined HR, payroll, and/or accounts payable role.
  • Experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care setting strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with payroll software, ADP Workforce Now and timekeeping systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Solid understanding of Texas employment law and federal wage regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Work Environment & ScheduleThis is a full-time, on-site position based at Jacinto Nursing and Rehab in Jacinto, Texas. Standard office hours apply, Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility required during payroll processing cycles or audits. This role operates in a professional business office environment within a skilled nursing facility.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files in compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Track employee licensure, certifications, and mandatory training deadlines; follow up to ensure timely renewals.
  • Process personnel actions including transfers, promotions, status changes, and terminations.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, PTO, leave of absence, and benefits questions.
  • Assist with recruiting efforts including posting open positions, screening applicants, and coordinating interviews.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
