Role Overview
The Payroll Officer owns the end-to-end payroll cycle across the Group, ensuring every employee is paid accurately and on time, in full compliance with labour law, internal policy, and financial controls.
Key Responsibilities

Process the end-to-end monthly payroll cycle accurately and within agreed deadlines

Ensure payroll practices comply with applicable labour law, statutory requirements, and company policy

Verify new joiners, movers, and leavers, confirming complete documentation before payroll input

Apply salary changes, allowances, deductions, and benefit entitlements correctly and on schedule

Maintain and update the HRIS, ensuring employee records remain accurate and audit-ready

Safeguard the accuracy of payroll-linked data across benefits, deductions, and entitlements

Maintain organised HR records and leave balances across all locations

Prepare and review payroll reports, securing required approvals ahead of submission to the Accounting team

Conduct payroll reconciliation covering headcount validation, general ledger, and bank statements

Investigate and resolve variances, escalating exceptions where required

Audit and process time, attendance, and leave records ahead of each payroll cycle

Ensure leave accruals and balances are correctly reflected in the system

Calculate and process final settlements for departing employees, ensuring accuracy and timely payment

Coordinate with relevant teams to close out all payroll-related obligations at exit

Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries on payroll, attendance, and HRIS matters, resolving issues with discretion and professionalism

Analyse HR and payroll data to identify trends and recommend process improvements

Support wider People & Culture initiatives and projects as required
Who We're Looking For

Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing and HRIS administration, ideally within hospitality or a multi-site environment

Strong working knowledge of labour law, payroll regulations, and financial reconciliation principles

Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven cycles without compromising accuracy

Confident handling confidential information with integrity and discretion

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in HR/payroll systems and MS Excel

Clear communicator, comfortable working across People & Culture, Finance, and operational teams
