We specialise in a wide range of services, from central air conditioning units to ductless mini-splits and indoor air quality systems. We are seeking a meticulous and organised Payroll Specialist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's payroll, ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. This is a vital role that requires a high degree of precision, integrity, and a deep understanding of payroll procedures.

Responsibilities

* Process payroll for all employees on a timely and accurate basis, including the calculation of hours, overtime, and deductions.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant US federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations.
* Maintain and update employee payroll records with the utmost confidentiality and accuracy.
* Address and resolve any payroll-related queries or discrepancies from employees in a professional manner.
* Prepare and submit detailed payroll reports for management and accounting purposes.
* Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding processes.
* Assist with the administration of employee benefits as they relate to payroll.
* Support end-of-year reporting and the preparation of tax documentation.

Qualifications

* Proven experience working as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll-focused role.
* A strong understanding of US payroll principles, laws, and best practices.
* Proficiency in using payroll software and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with strong skills in Excel.
* Exceptional numerical aptitude and a keen eye for detail.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
* The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* A relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field is highly desirable.
