Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities:
- Process and manage payroll for employees accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Maintain employee records and update changes in payroll system
- Calculate and process deductions, taxes, and garnishments
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations

- Experience with Union reports

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of debits, credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
