Payroll Specialist

About this Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our HR Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and internal policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, confidentiality, and a commitment to operational excellence.

What you´ll do

• Process monthly payroll for employees in accordance with company policies and local labor laws.
• Proven experience handling payroll audits, validation and reconciliations, and year‑end activities.
• Maintain and update payroll records and employee data in HRIS and payroll systems.
• Ability to manage payroll calendars, deadlines, and critical cut‑offs.
• Experience working with payroll systems
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxation, and benefits.
• Prepare payroll reports and support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations including social insurance, tax filings, and labor law updates.
• Support payroll-related projects such as automation, system upgrades, and process improvements.

What makes you a good fit

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years payroll experience.
• Strong end‑to‑end payroll processing knowledge understanding of gross‑to‑net calculations, statutory deductions, and payroll controls (experience with multi‑country payroll is an advantage).
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and data confidentiality.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience working with shared services environments is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain payroll topics clearly and handling employee payroll queries and escalations.
