Payroll Specialist (SKilled Nursing Experience Required)

POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of your job position is to perform a wide variety of highly sensitive and confidential accounting duties involving payroll and accounts payable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Process semi-monthly payroll

· Reconcile general ledger accounts related to payroll

· Manage Accounts Payable function including outgoing bills and invoices

· Process any expense reports and reimbursements

· Other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

· High school diploma or GED

· Bachelor’s in Accounting degree from an accredited school or college preferred

· Minimum of 2 years experience processing payroll

· Experience with accounts payable preferred

· Knowledge of CA State payroll laws

· Experience at a skilled nursing facility preferred

· Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language

· Excellent interpersonal skills, including customer service, patience, empathy and compassion

· Effective communication skills, including active listening, writing, speaking and reading comprehension

· Good collaboration and teamwork skills

· Ability to use computer

· Fast and adaptive problem-solving abilities

· Keen attention to detail

· Bi-lingual Spanish preferred

Working Conditions

May encounter frequent interruptions

May be involved with residents, family and government agencies

May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations

May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses

Physical Requirements

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day

Must be able to stand, bend and reach throughout the day

Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $27.42 - $33.02 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
