Summary


The Administrative and HR Assistant for the Public Building Authority is responsible for the delivery of quality customer service and first impression of the Administrator/CEO office. This position will perform general clerical, administrative and customer service duties as assigned by the CEO. This position will also provide support to the HR department. The following is a summary of typical duties that may be performed by this position in assigned area. (These duties are not to be viewed as all-inclusive, but a summary of duties).


Essential Functions


Performs general administrative activities by performing the following duties.


  • Provides customer service via telephone and email, provides information and answers general questions, makes referrals to other individuals, departments, agencies, or forwards call to appropriate people.

  • May type memorandums, letters and other documents as assigned.

  • Assist with and help maintain paper and electronic filing systems.

  • Reviews and ensures the delivery of mail for the administrative office.

  • Make copies and assemble packets as needed.

  • Assist with room reservations for PBA managed rooms as needed.

  • Will assist with HR with administrative duties (ie. Scheduling interviews, creating packets, scheduling pre-employment screenings, etc.).

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Perform other duties as required.


Minimum Training and Qualifications


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • General understanding of executive office operations in an administrative role.

  • Three (3) years of related work experience.

  • Experience performing HR related functions

  • Experience in Microsoft office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Communicate in writing and orally with proficiency.

  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered for employment into the position.

  • Familiarity with property management and human resource practices would be preferred.
