PCA Personal Care Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare, particularly in settings such as hospitals, clinics, or outpatient facilities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety during transitions.
• Monitor and document clients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed regimens.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Engage in light housekeeping tasks to promote a comfortable living space.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:

• Emergency medicine
• Hospital medicine
• Clinic environments
• Level II Trauma Center operations
• Operating Room (OR) assistance
• Outpatient care settings
• Geriatrics care
• Experience in teaching hospitals
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) familiarity
• Inpatient care experience
