Duties (depending on the position and individual needs)

• Assist with activities for daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, or feeding
• Assist with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) such as budgeting, assisting with medications, transportation, shopping, meal preparation, housework, or communication
• Implement postive support programming to support the individuals through challenges and opportunities
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to children and adults with disabilities, promoting positive social interactions
• Document client progress accurately and maintain detailed records of services provided
• Respond promptly to emergencies or crises using crisis management skills to ensure safety for all involved
• Respond prompty to client grievances and keeping the Designated Coordinator aware of any preferences, or service delivery issues

Requirements

• Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or in human services is preferred but not required for some positions; training will be provided
• Strong understanding of child protective services, family law, and child welfare practices is advantageous
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or assisting clients with mobility needs safely
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and team members effectively
• Knowledge of behavioral health principles and crisis intervention techniques is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts calmly and professionally in high-pressure situations
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.

Pay: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3.0 – 40.0 per week
