PCA/MED TECH

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PCA/Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to residents in a personal care home environments. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, adherence to medical documentation standards, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Duties

• Provide direct patient care and support in personal care setting.
• Assist with the administration of medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation for all patient interactions and treatments.
• Support patients with dementia care and those with developmental disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the appropriate medical personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or as a Medical Technician is preferred but willing to train.
• Familiarity with acute care settings is advantageous.
• Knowledge of medical documentation practices is essential.
• Experience working with patients who have developmental disabilities, diabetes, strokes, parkinsons and dementia.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• A commitment to providing compassionate care to all patients.
• Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
