PCU Registered Nurse (RN) – IMCU

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU) Registered Nurse for a permanent opportunity in Panama City, Florida.

The PCU Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care to moderately acute patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments. This role supports both pre-operative and post-operative patients and serves as a critical bridge between Med-Surg and ICU levels of care.

In collaboration with medical providers and the interdisciplinary care team, the PCU RN provides comprehensive nursing care while advocating for patients and ensuring a positive patient experience. This position requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition.

Key Responsibilities include:

Assessing patient condition during admission and throughout each shift and reporting changes promptly.

Performing procedures and other clinical functions as ordered by medical providers.

Administering prescribed medications and monitoring therapeutic response.

Documenting all care accurately and timely in the patient medical record.

Maintaining working knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical care.

Employment Details:

This is a permanent, full-time position with rotating weekends. Day and night shifts are available. Compensation is based on experience and includes shift differentials, sign-on bonus eligibility, and relocation assistance on a case-by-case basis.

Compensation:

Hourly pay based on experience.

Pay Range: $26.40 – $39.60 per hour

Additional Compensation:

Night shift differential: $4.00 per hour

Sign-on bonus: $15,000

Relocation assistance: Case by case

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent (within the last year) acute care PCU experience required
• Will consider candidates with recent acute care ER RN experience or 3 years of recent acute Med-Surg experience
• All qualifying experience must be recent (within the last year)
• Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree required
• Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of employment start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 60 days of employment start date
• Strong assessment, documentation, and patient advocacy skills
