A specialized healthcare-focused private equity firm is seeking an experienced
Associate / Senior Associate
to join its investment team in a fully remote capacity. This role will work closely with a Partner on the firm’s human and animal health investment strategy, supporting the sourcing, evaluation, execution, and active management of growth-oriented investments across the healthcare ecosystem.
Qualifications

4–6+ years
of relevant experience in private equity, growth equity, or investment banking (with prior transaction experience)

Strong financial modeling
, valuation, and return analysis capabilities

Direct experience supporting transaction execution and due diligence processes across commercial, financial, operational, regulatory, and legal workstreams

Sector experience in human health (e.g., pharma services, outsourced services, medical products, life sciences tools) and/or animal health is preferred

Experience
evaluating lower middle-market and growth-stage healthcare businesses

Exposure to preparing investment materials and supporting Investment Committee presentations

Solid understanding of healthcare industry dynamics, reimbursement considerations, and regulatory frameworks is a plus

Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with senior leadership in a remote environment
Key Responsibilities

Support the evaluation and execution of private equity investments within the human and animal health sectors

Build and maintain detailed financial models, including operating cases, transaction structures, and return analyses with scenario and sensitivity modeling

Coordinate and participate in comprehensive due diligence processes, working with third-party advisors and industry experts

Draft investment memoranda and supporting materials for senior leadership and Investment Committee review

Assist with transaction structuring, negotiation, and documentation in partnership with legal counsel and counterparties

Monitor portfolio company performance, including KPI tracking, financial analysis, and board reporting support

Work with management teams to help drive value creation initiatives, including growth strategies and operational improvements

Collaborate with and, at the Senior Associate level, help mentor junior investment professionals throughout the investment lifecycle
