PEB Estimation & Cost Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced PEB Estimation & Cost Engineer to handle pre-contract estimation, cost planning, and tendering activities for Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) and structural steel projects. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, supporting bids, and coordinating with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure competitive and technically compliant tenders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing for PEB and structural steel projects
• Analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work
• Perform quantity take-offs for PEB frames, secondary members, roofing, cladding, accessories, and erection works
• Coordinate with PEB design, engineering, detailing (Tekla), and production teams
• Develop BOQs, rate analysis, and cost breakdowns for bids and tenders
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and prepare commercial comparisons
• Identify cost risks, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities
• Support pre-bid meetings, post-tender clarifications, and negotiations
• Maintain and update PEB cost databases, standard rates, and historical data
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and local codes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical / Structural Engineering
• Minimum 4–8 years of experience in PEB estimation and costing
• Strong knowledge of PEB systems, structural steel fabrication, and erection processes
• Experience in tendering, BOQs, and cost control for steel structures
• Ability to interpret PEB drawings, GA drawings, and specifications
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software
• Familiarity with Tekla outputs and material take-offs
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Preferred Experience

• Experience with UAE / GCC PEB and industrial construction projects
• Knowledge of cladding systems, roofing materials, and accessories
• Familiarity with local consultants and contractors
