Job Summary

Serve as the primary healthcare provider within a residential youth camp across a full summer season. This role offers clinical independence, a consistent pediatric focus, and an immersive on-site environment — well-suited for licensed nurses willing to relocate to another state for a rewarding seasonal placement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer direct patient care including first aid, medications, and emergency response
  • Manage confidential health records, incident documentation, and daily medical logs
  • Perform health screenings during camper intake and on an ongoing basis throughout the season
  • Serve as the clinical liaison between camp leadership and families on all health-related matters
  • Uphold and reinforce camp-wide health and safety protocols in coordination with leadership

Minimum Requirements

  • Active RN license or multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification
  • Willingness and ability to reside on-site for the full seasonal term
  • Collaborative, adaptable approach well-suited to communal living and a non-traditional setting

Ideal Qualifications

  • Background in pediatric, school, or prior camp nursing
  • Confidence practicing with clinical autonomy outside hospital or clinic environments
  • Willingness to relocate to a different state for the duration of the summer season
